The history of The Arbor House is a bit of a mystery. Some say it was brought to the island on a barge, some say oxen pulled it across frozen Katama Bay. One thing can be agreed upon by all who visit—it is one of the island's most beautiful inns. Rooms—each with a private bath—are decorated with antiques and vintage furniture. Enjoy breakfast by the fire in the dining room or during warmer months, outdoors in the tea garden. A bike path a few steps from the front door leads to the lovely shops, restaurants and beaches of Edgartown.
