Chef Giorgio Baldi recreates favorites from his Tuscan homeland in this lively one-room jewel. His food is always good, and the menu features classics like fresh pastas, grilled fish and wonderful seafood stew. Favorites like the Tonno e Fagioli (white beans with tuna) and the Spaghetti Semplice with a fresh tomato and basil sauce are perfectly executed. Gnocchi in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce is another sinfully delicious treat. The thinly pounded Milanese-style veal cutlet is excellent. The wine list is simple but good; bottles start at $19 and up. If you can still eat another mouthful, try the Italian style Ricotta Cheesecake for dessert and leave with a smile.
