With a name like Old Homestead, you know that this restaurant has either been around awhile, or is just pretending to be. Happily, the former is the case-Old Homestead first opened in 1868, and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse. Therefore, it is perhaps surprising that the most coveted item on the menu is Kobe beef from Japan, which costs around $100 a portion. Thankfully, there are steaks galore at less breathtaking prices, and the portions are extremely generous.
