This group holds something of an avuncular position in Seattle's blossoming early music scene. It brings to town such noteworthy performers as Musica Antiqua Koln and the New York-based vocal quartet Anonymous 4. Recorder, lute and vocal concerts round out the medieval-to-baroque range of the group, which divides performances between large and small venues around town. The Guild also runs the invaluable Northwest Center for Early Music Studies, where anyone can study baroque violin, wooden recorder or medieval singing techniques.
