This restaurant takes its name from the fact that it rests five feet above sea level. Chef Michael Kang serves gorgeous plates of fine, creative, California and French-inspired Chinese cuisine. High ceilings, beautiful artwork, and interesting people are what you will find inside. Without reservations you will be in for a long wait, but the wait is worth it. The catfish is famous and delicious and the wild Irish salmon is also a popular choice. Or just go for the traditional but excellent Kung Pao Chicken. The menu is so eclectic it will be hard to make a decision, and it is constantly changing as Kang perfects it or changes it with the season.
