Maybe the owners felt like they had to do homage to the fact that their restaurant is located in an old transmission shop and car wash. Or maybe they just like beer, bikes and BBQ -- it is, after all, their motto. Mac's Speed Shop is a not-so-intimidating biker bar, serving up good barbecue and micro-brew beer until late in the night. You can also stop in to watch the games; just make sure that if it's football, you're a Panthers fan.
