Smoke Daddy is a classic. A full array of barbecue specialties is on the menu here, and they're all excellent. Choose from ribs (babyback or spare), chicken, pork and a variety of sandwiches: you really can't go wrong as long as you ignore the cholesterol count. The side items here are straight from the South; the smoky baked beans and sinful sweet potato are both worth sampling. Beware, though, as portions are generous enough that side dishes might be overkill. The inside is typical Southern roadhouse, with a few booths and tables and a bar. Smoke Daddy has a decent selection of bottled beers, but forget about getting anything on tap. Live bands play most nights. Thursday night jazz jams are particularly worth catching because their energy level is so high.
