This simple French bistro is a rarity. Great classic French food is paired with friendly service and prices that will make you smile. The atmosphere is California-French; a simple wooden bar and lovely outdoor patio make for a relaxed and festive dining experience. Chef Catherine Dimanche serves up perfect and uncontrived specialties including the excellent steamed mussels with white wine and garlic, the "Flamiche" (goat cheese and leek tart), roasted rack of lamb and even a chocolate mousse that's not to be missed. The wine list is decent; bottles cost about $17 and up.
