The Veranda is considered by most to be one of the best restaurants in Fort Myers. Originally built as two homes in 1902, they were joined by a kitchen and a tropical courtyard and re-opened in 1978 as The Veranda. Dining in the courtyard is relaxing and romantic, surrounded by lush foliage, a waterfall and a goldfish pond. Lunch specialties include Florida Crab Cakes (USD9.95). For dinner, be sure to try the Bourbon Street Filet (USD24.95), followed by Bailey's Irish Cream Cheesecake. Reservations are highly recommended, and dress is business casual.
