This attractive, popular Upper East Side restaurant is located in a modernized townhouse, complete with whitewashed walls and a flourish of flowers. The exquisite New American menu by chef and owner Charlie Palmer changes often, but the food is consistently superb. Sea scallops are always on the menu, whether delicately fried in a sandwich or served in a crisp potato casing. The wine list is extensive and expensive. There is a prix fixe dinner menu.
