Starting off as a small part-time orchestra performing in a local high school auditorium, Arizona's only professional symphony orchestra now performs annually more than 160 concerts from September to May. High musical standards have brought national recognition and attracted world-class artists to make guest appearances, for example orchestras such as Yo-Yo Ma, Placido Domingo and Andre Watts.
