From the street, this spot looks like no big deal, but like Alice falling through the looking glass, Bar 415 patrons find themselves transported to a super-hip jazz club more likely to be found in New York than in a small Midwest cubbyhole. The long, dark room with exposed brick walls is dominated by a big, wooden bar lit by colorful Pottery Barn-like hanging lamps. The drink menu is very uptown with Cosmopolitans, Martinis and such. On the weekends, local jazz bands play from a stage suspended from the ceiling. A cover charge is collected when live music is offered.
