This magnificent performing arts venue consists of three theaters. The Memorial Auditorium, built in 1932, holds a population of about 2,277 and is the grand dame of Carolina theaters. The huge chandeliers, floating staircases and comfy, oversized seats enhance the experience of those enjoying Broadway touring shows. The Meymandi Concert Hall is an accoustically superior theater and home to the North Carolina Symphony. It also plays host to renowned musicians and performers from around the globe. The Fletcher Opera Theater hosts performances by such groups as the Carolina Ballet and The National Opera Company.
